Sasha, hailing from Kyiv, Ukraine, and Olya, from Moscow, Russia, have been in a relationship for six years. Their wedding took place at the Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram in Amritapuri, Kollam, Kerala, in the presence of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi.
The couple's journey began in 2019 when they met during a European visit and later became regular visitors to the ashram. Their relationship blossomed into love, transcending the geopolitical tensions between their home countries. In 2023, amidst the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, they returned to Kerala, the place where their love story began, to celebrate their union.
Sasha is a research student at Amrita University, focusing on counseling to alleviate mental distress among individuals in conflict zones. Olya is dedicated to psychological studies and actively participates in the ashram's activities. Both are committed to promoting peace and love, advocating for mutual understanding and harmony.
