The evidence that shows Rwanda is backing rebels in DR Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has accused Rwanda of supporting the M23 rebel group, a claim substantiated by various sources:

United Nations Findings: A UN report indicates that between 3,000 and 4,000 Rwandan army troops are operating in the DRC, providing training and advanced weaponry to M23 fighters.

Expert Analysis: UN experts assert that the Rwandan army exercises "de facto control" over M23 operations, with recruits trained under Rwandan supervision and equipped with high-tech Rwandan weaponry.

Visual Evidence: Photographic and drone footage have captured individuals in Rwandan military uniforms among M23 rebels, suggesting direct involvement.

Despite these findings, Rwanda denies supporting the M23 group. The DRC has severed diplomatic ties with Rwanda in response to these alleg

ations.
