15 killed in car bomb explosion on outskirts of Syria's Manbij

A tragic car bomb explosion occurred on the outskirts of Manbij, a city in northern Syria, resulting in the deaths of at least 19 people, predominantly women, and injuring over a dozen others. The blast took place next to a vehicle transporting female agricultural workers. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

This incident marks the seventh car bombing in Manbij in just over a month, highlighting the escalating violence in the region. Following the downfall of President Bashar Assad in December, the area has experienced ongoing clashes between Turkish-backed factions and U.S.-backed Kurdish forces. The recurring attacks have heightened residents' vigilance, leading to increased security measures such as the installation of surveillance cameras in key neighborhoods.

The surge in violence poses a significant threat to post-war recovery and stability in Aleppo province and Syria as a whole. Local authorities and civic groups are urging the international community and regional powers to provide support in addressing the ongoing security challenges in northern Syria. These attacks not only endanger civilians but also undermine efforts to restore peace and normalcy in the war-torn regio
