Joy, relief, emotion’: Inside 4th exchange of Israel-Hamas truce deal | In pics

In the fourth exchange under the ongoing ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, three Israeli hostages—Yarden Bibas, Ofer Kalderon, and Keith Siegel—were released by Hamas militants in Gaza. In return, Israel released 183 Palestinian prisoners, who were welcomed in Ramallah and other locations.

This exchange is part of a broader effort to end 15 months of intense fighting, allowing for increased aid to Gaza and the return of many Palestinians to their homes. The agreement also included the release of sick and wounded Palestinian children for treatment in Egypt.

The truce aims to end the deadly conflict that has resulted in significant casualties on both sides. The initial phase involved the release of 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Further negotiations are expected to extend the truce and address additional humanitarian concerns.

While the ceasefire has brought relief to many, the situation remains complex, and both sides continue to negotiate terms to ensure lasting peace and stability in the re

gion.
