Isro creates history with 100th rocket launch; GSLV-F15 carries NVS-02

 The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has achieved a historic milestone with its 100th rocket launch. On January 29, 2025, at 6:23 AM IST, the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F15) successfully lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, carrying the NVS-02 navigation satellite. 


The NVS-02 satellite is a part of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), also known as NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation). This system enhances India's autonomous satellite navigation capabilities, providing accurate position information services to users in India and the surrounding region. 


The successful deployment of NVS-02 marks a significant advancement in India's navigation infrastructure, aiming to improve positioning accuracy and reliability. This launch underscores ISRO's commitment to advancing space technology and contributing to national development.
